SUICIDE SILENCE LIVE THE CLEANSING 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TOUR By: Stephanie Stevens
It’s been 10 years since the band released THE CLEANSING an album that stirred energy and passion in the metal community and made a name for the California band SUICIDE SILENCE. The band set out on a tour this past fall/winter to pay tribute to that album and I was able to catch the show when it landed in Providence, RI with the passing of singer Mitch Lucker the band has gone through some not so nice fan opinions and I was really curious to see how this tour would go for them but in my area the crowd came out to get in the bands faces and let me tell you I was pretty impressed with the accuracy and intensity vocalist Eddie Hermida gave us that night. The rest of the band was on point per usual; every time I have seen them the music has been as brutal, energized and in your face as possible. Although the guys didn’t do anything new on this tour I have to say with all the slack they got I have to throw in my opinion and say I do like the change I like the flow and the “different” approach they are taking and I am looking forward to what the guys have to say in 2018. For now, I have to say that the band slayed on this night and if they are coming to a town near you def. don’t miss out on the show because not only them but the rest of the touring bands pretty much slayed that evening also.
Here is a small collage of snippets of the bands set that evening. Enjoy and while you’re at it give the new self-titled album a chance you might be delightfully surprised and enjoy it.
